Hey everyone. Nick's post here is well placed and well timed, indeed! Thanks for getting this up Nick.
If anyone is experiencing trouble connecting with the Library Databases there are a few options available to you. I've been trying to access some of the databases today and have not had any luck whatsoever. The pages fail to load...
Option 1: Use Taylor's article in the Coursepack to complete the assignment.
Option 2: Go to a credible news website and find an article there. I would suggest NPR, the BBC, the New York Times, the Huffington Post, and so on.
Option 3: Go to the library on campus tomorrow before class and use the computers there to access the databases. Hopefully those will work, at least.
So sorry about the lack of internet support for this assignment. It's really quite unfortunate that BC's servers aren't more reliable... and it seems that this internet-dropped-call situation occurs more frequently than not. With this in mind, you may wish to begin your searches earlier to allow "space" for such roadblocks.
Email me with questions should you have any, or continue to reply to this post. And once again, thanks Nick for taking the initiative and attempting to reach the class with this message.

Thanks Professor, this was helpful
ReplyDeleteNick, posting this was a really good idea. I didn't even think of doing that. I had the same problem.
